Red Lake Rosie's Rescue

Red Lake Rosie's was founded in 2006 by Karen Good (pictured below). She is a native of the area, and in just over 10 years of running the rescue she has received five awards. RLR takes in countless dogs and cats to both adopt out on their own, and also to transfer to other shelters all over Minnesota. RLR measures over 835,000 acres! The nearest city is Bemidji, MN. A large number of the dogs from RLR run wild with no leash laws, and mate every heat cycle. Due to this, most dogs are very anxious and afraid when they first arrive and are placed into a kennel, but after they are shown love and care they become some of the nicest dogs you could ever imagine. RLR also educates their residents about how to properly care for their animals, and the dangers of not getting them spayed/neutered. Since 2006, RLR has rescued over 7,500 animals, and has gotten over 6,000 fixed!
